Refund and cancellation policy
How deposits, cancellations, and refunds work for Portalhorizoncore professional engagements.
Scope
This policy applies to paid engagements for private equity portfolio reporting packs, fund performance reviews, LP narrative workshops, and holdings scorecard design. It does not cover software subscriptions or physical product sales — we do not offer those.
Eligibility and timeframe
Refund requests should be emailed to info@portalhorizoncore.click within 14 days of the event giving rise to the request (for example, cancellation before kick-off, or a documented delivery failure against the statement of work). Requests after final deliverables have been accepted are generally not eligible except where Hong Kong law requires otherwise.
Full and partial refunds
- Before kick-off: If you cancel more than five business days before the agreed start date, we refund fees paid minus any non-refundable third-party booking costs we have already incurred with your written approval.
- After kick-off, before draft delivery: Partial refund of unused fees may apply after deducting time already worked at the rates in the engagement letter.
- After draft delivery: Fees for completed draft and review stages are non-refundable. Remaining unused stages may be credited or refunded at our discretion if we cancel the remainder.
Non-refundable items
Completed workshop sessions, delivered performance briefs, accepted reporting packs, and deposits applied to work already started are non-refundable. Custom scorecard templates delivered under the statement of work are non-refundable once files are transferred.
Deposits
Reporting-pack cycles typically require a 40% deposit. The deposit secures calendar capacity and is applied to the final invoice. Deposits become non-refundable once intake work begins, except when Portalhorizoncore cancels the engagement.
Cancellation and rescheduling
You may reschedule a workshop once without fee if you give at least five business days’ notice. Later reschedules or no-shows may forfeit the session fee. Reporting-cycle dates can shift by mutual written agreement; repeated delays caused by missing source data may convert unused time into a pause with fees for work already performed remaining due.
No-shows and work already started
If key client attendees miss a confirmed workshop without timely notice, the session is treated as delivered. For pack engagements, once definition lock and intake have started, time incurred is billable even if you later pause the cycle.
Refund process and timing
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 14 business days of approval. Bank charges imposed by your institution are outside our control. We will confirm the refund amount in writing before processing.
Exceptions
If Portalhorizoncore cancels an engagement for reasons other than client breach, you receive a full refund of amounts paid for undelivered work, or a rescheduled date at your option. Statutory rights under Hong Kong law remain unaffected where they apply.
